Lucknow: The city of Lucknow continues to witness a surge of youth participation in sports with multiple district and state-level competitions being held across hockey, wushu, and badminton. The programs, organized by the Directorate of Sports, Uttar Pradesh, in coordination with relevant sports associations, aim to identify and nurture young talent across the region.
In the Sub-Junior Men’s Hockey Championship, teams from across the state have demonstrated exceptional skill and competitiveness. Standout performances include decisive wins by Sports Hostel Varanasi, Sports College Lucknow, Sports Hostel Lucknow, and Sports Hostel Jhansi, highlighting the growing strength of youth hockey in the region.
Simultaneously, the district-level Wushu championship has seen boys and girls across various weight categories competing with enthusiasm, showcasing impressive martial arts techniques. Winners have been recognized in categories ranging from 32kg to 65kg Sanda for boys, emphasizing discipline and athleticism.

The district badminton competition has also engaged young players in singles and doubles events across U-11, U-15, and U-17 categories, with champions demonstrating skill, strategy, and sportsmanship. The events have been coordinated with support from local sports officials, ensuring a professional environment for emerging athletes.
